If you have any questions about the rules, feel free to. For the past two hours I was working with a friend who was completely locked out of GTA due to the title glitch. If you can't get into GTA because it says your key is already in use, follow these directions exactly. First, go into your program files (not x86) and go down to the Rockstar games folder. Next, you should find 'PlayGTA5.exe'.
When you open the link it should go back to the same glitched state. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW JUST YET Instead, click the gray 'back' button to go back to the login screen. This time you'll actually see a check box that checks if you want to auto login or not. UNCHECK THIS EXACT BOX AND CLOSE THE WINDOW. THIS IS THE ONE THING THAT WILL FIX YOUR GAME. After doing this go back into steam and boot the game, it should be working perfectly now after it automatically signs you in.
Thanks to niclas30011 for first finding the login issue. Both, it has to do with the server thinking that you're a different account trying to activate a code already taken. Basically it's saying that this account has already activated it but the launcher requires a key to access the game. Steam (and some retail versions as well) links to your social club account so it assumes you've already signed in and got past the account check. When you try to launch it, it then sees that the Steam account is signed in so it assumes that the key has already been entered and you're trying to enter an expired one. By manually disabling the auto sign in for the local game it then focuses on only using the steam account to enter so it doesn't get confused. Sorry if my explanation sounded terrible, still trying to normalize from an endoscopy I had earlier.
'Hello guys, I purchased GTA V 2 months ago via G2A.com (not from steam). I activated the key on the Rockstar webpage and it worked perfectly for a while. Then i haven't played with the game for about 2 days and when i started the launcher it was asking me to re-acitvate the game. If i go to the webpage it indicates in my profile that i possess the GTA V game, but the launcher does not recognize it or such. I wrote to Rockstar support and they promised to investigate my case. I also tried to apply some fixes like deleting the Documents/Rockstar games folder but it didn't help.
My question would be whether someone of you encountered the same issue and how it could be solved if at all? Thank you: Dani' PLS HELP.
